Otoplasty
Otoplasty (ear pinning) is a cosmetic procedure that surgically corrects deformed, overlay large or protruding ears. Otoplasty is performed to improve the shape, proportion or position of a patient`s ear. Usually parents decide to have their child’s ears correction during their youth- between the ages of 4 and 14, which avoids ridicule and bullying during adolescence. The incisions used for ear pinning are on the back portion of the patient’s ear or in the fold just inside the rim if the goal is in achieving smaller and reduced conchal cartilage.
