Thigh Lift
Thigh lift or Thighplasty is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of excess skin and fat from either the inner or outer thighs. This is often performed after substantial or bariatric weight loss or in people for whom diet and exercises have failed to reduce excess tissue in the upper thighs. There are several types of thigh lifts, differentiated by the size and shape of the incision used to remove excess skin, fat and tissue. In the inner thigh lift the incision is made in the groin area and excess fat and skin are excised along the inner part of the thigh, in the bilateral thigh lift the incision is placed at the top of the leg where the lower edge of an underwear would be, creating a "V" shape and medial thighplasty might also include vertical scars extending down the legs from the groins.
